Hiya guys!
Woah. After 5 weeks of daily journaling and many, many, hours of turning our raw materials into a shiny eBook, its finally here!
Three weeks. Two girls. One journey.
- A journal of two girls on a juice trip
A FREE eBook of our experiences doing a three week juice only fast.
Sabine in Bali and Saar in Canada.
We really wanted to create a unique document in which our dear readers can follow along and find out exactly what it’s like, doing something quite as intense and exciting as an extended juice fast. Maybe you’ve been dying to try it for yourself but something is holding you back, or maybe you’ve always wondered – how the hell do these people not keel over from lack of energy?
Well, you’re about to find out! We documented every day, from the week prior to our fast to one week after breaking our fast, including tons of photos and our daily intake of fresh juice of course. It’s become quite a candid journal, with plenty of ups and downs, highs and lows, and a peek into our personal lives and innermost thoughts. Quite simply; we poured our souls in it.
Excuse me, say what? Can one really get high on green? It’s what we’ve been so curious about for, well, months now. After getting ‘lifted’ on raw cacao and ‘elevated’ from Bikram yoga, it’s time to take things further than bowls of salad: what will the effect of an extended juice-feast be? Will it bring us more than clear skin and non-smelly number two’s?
I’m trying to stay in the present moment, yet I am curious about any challeng- es that might occur, like social events that could prevent me from drinking juices? I’m up for the challenge – after being called a hippy for years, I don’t mind people judging me. I’m doing an awesome thing for myself, you know.
It’s funny how my body hardly seems to register I am no longer eating solid foods… I don’t feel any different. Detox symptoms, helleuuu? Maybe it will come later? My skin is ‘releasing’ a lot of stuff though but that is more likely due to having had my period for the last 2.5 days (started when I started juice fasting – nice…).
I had so much energy this morning! Not frantic must-exercise-now energy but more like high vibrational, happy and creative energy. Felt good all day all- though the marvelous papaya/pineapple juice did give me some tongue pain and it seemed as though I was getting hot/clammy from it. True, it’s also 30 degrees celcius and humid here, but it seemed like a reaction. Hmmmm, maybe I shouldn’t have that combo anymore (which of course means I will, since it was so darn delicious).
This whole experience makes me so grateful for everything that I’ve got – it puts life on hold a bit and makes me experience precious moments with close ones (and some people that are further away – distance wise, not emotionally). I am so happy to be doing this with Sabine, reading her blog posts makes me feel so good about doing this together.
What is standing out most to me at the moment doing this feast is that I am feeling super inspired and creative. Granted, I feel inspired and creative and full with ideas, plans, goals and intentions most of the time, but I do feel a definite increase in this particular area. Especially considering the last few months I had been feeling less than inspired overall.
Hello flu, I did not expect to meet you any day soon and don’t appreciate how you smacked me against the floor. I ate 2 large bowls of broth with cayenne pepper, which tasted like very spicy water. It filled me up and made my intes- tines rumble.
So here I am today, the day after the most challenging day of this juice fast
so far – how am I doing? Quite terrific actually. Went to bed late, later than I like to and definitely later than other days on this fast, though I woke up just before 6:30 refreshed against all odds. I was so lucky as to have a blender half full of blended veg/fruit/coconut water leftover from last night, which I hadn’t been able to finish. I woke up with a very clear intention: a reset day for my body. Meaning: a very laid-back, inactive day and constant sipping on some form of juice.
I have done shorter juice fasts quite a few times but that pales in comparison to what a longer juice fast does with and for you, especially beyond the physi- cal aspect. Fasting transformed things in me and formed a fertile breeding ground for new insights and new opportunities, ones that I will benefit from for a long time to come.

I find more and more that raw food and detoxing are my favorite topics and specialties when it comes to nutrition, and so have decided to add detoxing to my workshop & eBook repertoire. I have sort-of-not-so secretly been working on a Detox eBook for the past 8 or so months and lo and behold, it’s almost – finally- finished! I am super happy with the result and feel like it’s one of the most comprehensve resources on cleansing and detoxing out there – with the emphasize on juice feasting.
Detoxing Made Easy will be released next Monday – June 11!
*As per use, I will have a 24hr opening sale, don’t miss it!*
I will host my very first Detoxing Made Easy workshop on Sunday, June 17. More detailed information on this workshop will come up later this week, of course, but please shoot me an email at sabine @ some-like-it-raw.com if you are interested and would like to pre-register before it fills up (as with all my workshops, 10 person maximum). The Detoxing Made Easy eBook is included in the workshop!
I am really looking forward to this workshop as I have a ton of information to share on detoxing and juicing, and will serve my favorite juice recipes. Let’s juice it up together for one day!

I am SO excited for Detoxing Made Easy!!

Sabine, your detox journey to Bali was totally inspiring. I am hoping that one day I will be able to take a trip to Bali and enjoy the raw friendly places you did (I am also hoping that one day I will be able to have a tan like yours, LOL!).
