Happy Sunny Sunday all!
Here is a photo recap of another great ‘Raw Food Made Easy’ workshop I hosted yesterday!
I decided to do the workshop outside since it was 27C and sunny, hmmm. We were, again, with 13 people and it was such a nice group. So much interaction and I learned a lot as well, mostly about negative ions and increasing your megahertz . Will def include this in my next workshop!
Seems like raw foods is gaining some popularity among the men as well, yay! Especially among the men who are exercise fanatics, or so it seems. Makes sense! One guy, Kiren, came because he does Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (<3) and some of his team mates are into raw foods and he was intrigued. Go raw food!
I made a super big batch of chocolate smoothie with fresh coconut meat, which went down very well. Lunch consisted of Asian nori rolls with a spicy almond dressing.
Made some nice new friends and it seems like the potluck will have a few new attendees .
Spicy Almond Dressing (or dip)
* 2 cups almonds (240 grams)
* 2 tablespoons grated ginger
* 1-2 tsp chili powder (or sub red curry paste)
* 2 Tbsp liquid aminos/nama shoyu/or soy sauce
* 1/2 cup lemon juice
* 1/4 cup raw honey/coconut neacter/sweetener of choice
* dash of Himalayan sea salt
* 1/4 – 3/4 cup water
Grind almonds into almond butter if you have a high speeds blender/food processor, otherwise sub almond butter. Add rest of the ingredient and blend. use less water for a dip, more water for a dressing. Add more or less chili powder and ginger to taste. Store in a jar in the fridge.
I am addicted to this dressing now! Goes well with sushi, wraps or with crudites!
See you at the next workshop!
