And bought non-organic fruits… So far here I have been very lucky with finding great organic produce but most all of the fruits here on non-organic. Plenty of organic vegetables and leafy greens (yay) but only a handful of organic fruits, and most of which are not juice-able (like mango or fruits I don’t even recognize, lol) or just … inedible in the first place (green and bitter ‘oranges’ are the norm here. I made a juice from it and gagged. Pure MSM tastes better… ).
Back home in Holland I am very ‘strict’ when it comes to organic produce. I’d say I eat about 99.9% organic (I got out my calculator…) and just refuse to settle for less. When I am juicing for a day or a few days, this is no exception. In fact quite the opposite. When juice fasting it would feel very counter-productive to buy produce sprayed with chemicals….
The almighty Durian: King of Fruits! (this one was huge!)
So boo. I don’t feel too happy about this but well, I do need something to mix my greens with, I am not that hardcore (yet). I will keep looking for organic fruit, buy as much organic fruit as I can, and but all my veggies organic. And realize that I am not *just* detoxifying my body from pesticides, but from a lot more gunk. Still though… boo hoo.
Making love to my local, wild, organic spinach <3
With that being said, I do appreciate the bounty of fruits here, and for how awesomesauce I have been feeling doing this juice feast. Woah, 7 days down, 14 more to go. 1/3th of the way. Me & Saar have been experiencing pretty much nil detox symptoms so far. I did notice some loss of either strength or a little dip in energy a few days ago when I did a bodyweight workout so have decided for now not to indulge in workouts, to honor the cleansing process. Cleansing is breaking down, and resistance training has the opposite goal. I get enough ‘exercise’ already from walking a good 2 hours pretty much daily. Walking is one of my favorite activities. And hiking, but not much opportunity for that in Amsterdam eh?
Um ok so don’t hit me or anything but today was the second rainstorm I’ve experienced here in Bali and it was magnificent! I loved it. It had been very dark and cloudy for about an hour, or two, prior to said monsoon like rainstorm. And somehow, it felt so good when the sky started releasing. I loved curling up on my daybed, closing the doors n windows, and look at the rain and hear it bashing the house. It also produces thee loudest thunderbolt I have ever heard in my life. I so wish I could share that sound with you all, it was, for lack of better words, magnificent. Nature is really humbling around here. Big, abundant, and beautiful.
Come rain, come shine
I have been drinking some amazing juice combo’s, all of which you can find in our upcoming free eBook. A definite favorite of mine? Galia melon, pineapple, fresh mint and chlorella (you can leave out the chlorella obviously). This will be a staple cocktail at my future potlucks I can tell ya!
Ok got to go now. Off to partake in a Kirtan (group chanting). Will make a new video probably tomorrow!

amazing photos as always!
Haha I thought you were going to say I caved…. and ate a Big Mac

Do you mind if I quote a couple of your posts as long as I provide credit and sources back to your weblog? My website is in the very same niche as yours and my visitors would genuinely benefit from a lot of the information you present here. Please let me know if this ok with you. Regards!
