Cool recipes, thanx!
About the drugs: I’ve always been very against using drugs to entertain yourself. Maybe it’s because I myself have depression for which I have to take drugs, to just even feel normal. So it seems odd to me that someone would take them just for fun, when you know you will have a comedown later, as you experienced. I really incourage you to not doing them at all, but ofcourse, it’s your body and your life. I’m just a cheerleader Btw, did you and your Mom use drugs together? That’s something I would never see my Mom do, haha!
OMFG thanks for this! she ate a lot and nothing happened and she’s eaten it before but to be on the safe side, no more avo for Isa, haha. she’s gonna hate me..
Thank you for posting about the struggle you had this week… makes me feel less alone!! your an inspiration with how you pulled through and wrote this wonderful post about healthy eating. When I have bad days like that I always wake up thinking i’m not going to eat anything, like a punishment for being bad. bad now I hope I wake up thinking, I will eat healthy raw today and get back on the healthy track.
Thank you for your honestly and beautiful writing… and of course great recipes and food porn

They don’t call it terrible tuesday for nothing. The more often you do X the worse the comedown will be. I think it should be something special and if you wait the reccomend 2-3 months, you should be fine. I feel really bad that you had an afwul depressing day the other week, hope you feel lots better now!
haha I actually only heard about’suicide monday’ . you are right in that it should be something special, which is exactly how I’d been doing it for 5+ years, until a few months ago. stoopid me.
liefs, Smartie
Thanks for posting your reflections here on the www! Of course it sucks that you felt that way last week, but it’s so good to read that you picked yourself up again and even started another challenge the next day! So you can definetely congratulate yourself with that!
I have used drugs occasionally (back in the days, now that I’m thirty I’m sooo old.. ), and had one bad XTC experience, that’s when I quit. But when you can use it controlled and once in awhile, nothing’s wrong with it. Just enjoy it then, and don’t feel guilty when you do, otherwise you can better not use it at all.
Thanks for your blog, I have said it in my emails (I still need to email you back, sorry for that!) but your blog is a huge inspiration for me! So keep up the good work
Love,
Nancy
It seems like you’ve had a difficult week! Hopefully everything’s ok now, and of course it’s great that you know why you felt this way, so you can do something about it. I already was wondering why you’d sell those tickets. Isn’t it possible to go to those parties without using something by the way? I’ve never been to those parties and I’ve never taken those drugs, so I really can’t have an opinion on that, but if you have so much fun it seems like such a waste (almost) never going to those parties anymore.
The foodporn is amazing (as usual) and the recipes I have to try! I don’t have a dehydrator, so it’s not going to be all raw (or I should make the oven make very long shifts! I read people doing that!).
Hope to hear about your raw adventures again soon!
Also, I sent you a ridic long email and hit the send button – a lot of your recipes (esp. raw) are nut based, so do you have any recommendations for how a raw fruit (apple, strawberries, pears, peaches, cherries, etc.) & nut allergy sufferer could adapt them? Thanks!
Hi there! I didn’t get your email, maybe you could resend it?
anyhow, nuts are replacable with your favorite seed in all recipes. as for the fruit, that would depend on the recipe. maybe banana, if you’re not allergic to it?
[...] Partly raw, partly cooked dinner: wraps! (Too effing bad I can’t find proper WHOLE grain tortillas anywhere, just crappy multigrain ones… and I didn’t feel like making my own wraps today). Normally I’d eat one wrap, stuffed with a lot of beans and some veggies. In an effort to make some cooked meals a bit more raw/lighter/well combined, I opted to leave out the beans and instead eat two wraps and stuff them with raw veggies. A success, except for the raw corn (not a fan…). This way, the meal becomes heavier on the veggies (instead of concentrated cooked foods) and more well-combined to boot, score . My cat loves avocado too, but I’ve read that it’s actually toxic to cats
See here for instance: http://www.catchannel.com/News/november-06/2006-11-09-Avocado-Dangerous-to-Cats.aspx
It’s crazy though, when I’m making tuna-avocado salad she’ll actually go for the avocado over the tuna, haha

Those cupcakes look way too UNhealthy to be on here!
I stumbled across this blog and I think you might like it for an idea of healthy summer drinks that aren’t juices and other recipes too: http://munchinwithmunchkin.wordpress.com/category/vegan/page/2/

Allergic to raw seeds too.
you could try beans? Might not taste the same but their also high in protein and fiber?

That nacho cheez sauce is amazeballs. I left out the sugar and added a chopped jalapeno! Seriously, seriously good!!!
Mmmm… juicer pulp, great for bread actually.
