Loved this post, some very good healthy alternatives you present here. I’ve seentoo many posts on this subject lately with either very weird/way too out there snacks (seaweed, really) or snacks that aren’t healthy at all…
woah i had no idea about the peanut butter! i eat so much of it everyday… luckily my health food store carries tons of different nut butters, guess it’s about time I pick one up!
I love your blog! I have been reading for a while now, and learned a lot. I already ate quite healthy, but you inspired me to take it up a notch.
I love home made energy bars and fruit snacks! And i’m a huge sucker for peanut butter, have been trying to cut back for a couple of weeks now, but i can’t help it, i’m addicted
I was wondering, where do you buy nak’d bars? I discovered them a few weeks ago in London and was hooked on the spot, but haven’t been able to find them in Amsterdam just yet. So I would be delighted if you know a place!
Great top 10! I kinda like the taste of ‘plain’ fruit, so I don’t often add nutbutters or sweeteners. Only with strawberries or a banana ice cream I sometimes have to have chocolate sauce.
I also eat a piece of bread for a snack now and then, but I just use whole wheat bread. You say you use gluten free bread, but the only gluten free bread I know is the not-so-good tasting white-ish square-formed bread my friend eats (she has coeliaki decease). So, I’m just wondering what kind of gluten free bread you eat?
I eat organic rice bread and Spelt bread. Spelt is not GF but contains much less gluten. I think Spelt is a good transition from wheat. But fresh made GF breads (not the prepackaged supermarket varieties) are really good imo! But I am a fan of sturdy breads, someone who only likes very fluffy bread could have a hard time liking it
Hmm, I will look into this a bit more. I’m wondering why my friend eats those white untasty things if there’s an alternative. I buy sprouted speltbread sometimes. It looks a bit like rye bread, but it’s made entirely out of sprouted spelt. Love the taste! I think it’s also available made out of other grains than spelt, but I never tried those other varieties. Thanks for the tips!
Welk glutenvrij brood gebruik jij?
You seem to be doing good! The basics to loisng weight is really so simple.Burn up more than you take in.So, eat healthy; like you’re doing, and drinking a lot of cold water.Exercise as oftn as you can. Weights are ok, but more cardio.Don’t eat fried foods. Don’t use butter/margerine that kind of stuff. Stay away from dressings and the fatty’ stuff.Your stomach will shrink and you won’t feel as hungry. You have to train it the way you do anything with your body. I think you’re doing great. Keep yopur food portions small, eat a little more frequently maybe, but keep the overall intake low.Good luck I think you’re well on your way, and I applaud you for your diligence!
