Oh my GOD! These look amazing! They do seem time consuming, but not too difficult so I can’t wait to have a go at them. I’ll let you know how they turn out.
Hi Sabine!
I found your link at the amazing BodyRock.Tv and I already enjoy your blogging A LOT! I am going to my parents’ place tomorrow with great friends joining us, and I think these truffles will cause great excitement on the table Do you happen to have a great chocolate mousse recipe? (with no or low sugar content). Otherwise I must make it up myself. Can I ask you, how did you start this blog and did you get any pro help? I love the look of the website, so cute and personal.
Thanks for replying – in advance
Best, Maria from Copenhagen, Denmark.
well the base for these balls (so before chilling in the fridge and rolling into balls) could be used perfectly as chocolate mousse! Try and replace the sugar, or a large part of it, with vanilla and/or chocolate protien powder to power down the sugar content and make it more protein-dense.
I started blogging little over half a year ago on another domain (thefruitpersuit.punt.nl) but had wanted to move over to my own domain for a long time, but it was quite hard to figure out how to get it to work. But eventually it worked, I just kept working at it . No I created it all myself, no professional help!
By the way did you notice my boyfriend is from Copenhagen too? He lives here now but we visit Copenhagen frequently, me about once a month!
You did a wonderful job with your homepage
I really enjoy surfing around and study all the yummi pics and recipes!
I love developing new recipes myself and can’t stop trying the whole time, since the kitchen time is really dear to me. I just adore cooking and baking.
My mousse turned out really tasty and extremely rich, but I’ll try with tofu next time. I have actually never used it before!
That is so funny your guy is from DK How did you two meet? If it isn’t too private – sorry! I hope you like Copenhagen. I LOVE Amsterdam myself.
I can’t wait to try that divine-lookin’ Nutella recipe very, very soon
Have a great weekend, Sabine.
Hey Maria, we met here in Amsterdam over a year and a half ago . I do like Copenhagen but it’s hard to getting used certain things thagt are so different from Holland haha.
I know what you mean
What do you think about the Danes? As rude and selfish as we think ourselves? I get ambarrased from seeing how spoiled Danish people behave during the every-day-life. Always “me, me, me” before every body else…. Grrrr!!!! I am not proud of my people, as you may have discovered I think your boy is lucky to live in Holland with you now.
Can I ask you, which website did you use to start making your own? I am searching for a great solution to create a look as pro as yours Thank you!
Best, Maria
well my boyfriend’s very patriotic, always bragging about denmark haha, which is why I did got the idea most Danes were like that, but I actually find most Danes to be nice and humble . lot of similarities with the Dutch, too.
My blog is made on a wordpress platform, you have to buy your own domain/extension and download wordpress, install it and from there on out you can customize it to your liking.
Thank you so much, Sabine!
You are really kind and helpful, I appreciate it.
He sounds like a funny Dane, ha ha. Humour means everything in a well-defined relationship, I think. You look very beautiful on your new front pic
Have a great weekend!
Love, Maria
Sabine
You are very welcome! And thank you, I used one thats a few months old now but I like that its so close up haha.
I see you started your blog- wheee!
happy weekend!
Lisa
i tried your recipe today and loved it – even though it ended up a different way! my dough was too wet to make balls, so I decided to add some extra chopped nuts and oats and put little blobs in the oven for ten minutes – voila, super-delicious-chocolaty, moist and filling cookies were born
thank you for all your wonderful recipes and advice!
All that truffle balls are all good and yummy! I wish I could make one but unfortunately, I don’t know how to cook and I don’t know how to make it (sad but true). I really like to bake cakes and cookies but I don’t use to because I don’t know how even though there is a recipe I can’t do it.
